Yay! Stennis is so close the novices can almost taste it!!

On September 11-12, the novice members of the RHS Forensics team will be heading to Mississippi State University to compete against other novices from across the state of Mississippi and some outside of the state.  We are hoping the best for our novices in competing at their first tournament!  Also keep our varsity members in your thoughts because this is possibly their first time judging at a tournament.  Good luck and best wishes!

The Interp Blog!!!

Hi! This is the first blog of the interp! Anyways, I give thanks everyone who came to the workshop and worked really hard. But now I want us all to work even harder this year! If anyone has any questions regarding their interp pieces ,or ideas for new ones, just try to get in contact with me. This year will be awesome!

Forensics Summer Workshop!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to say 'Thank you so much for this past week!' I know it was a lot of hard work but it will very soon be worth it. For those of you who were not able to attend the workshop or the showcase, here is a quick preview. Last week we: created 3 Original Oratories, 5 Expos speeches, ran a lot of extemp speeches, started 2 duo teams, started memorizing 3 declamations, introduced 2 new team members (Amanda and Ben), found out that Rashad is an awesome caterpillar, performed great interp pieces, and had a great time.

First photo from the showcase.

 Hey Guys!

Don't forget the summer workshop is next week, July 27 - 31!  We will start each day at 8:00 am. If you know of anyone who may be interested in joining the team, feel free to invite them.  Remember to bring a brown bag lunch on Monday!  Also, bring a 2 liter drink and a family size snack item so that we can have snacks throughout the week.  If you have any questions, please contact me at stacy@apt101.com

See you soon,

Howell

President's Letter

Hey everyone! It’s getting close to being that time of year again! For returning varsity, you know exactly what I’m talking about.  New novices and forensics hopefuls, you will soon find out. It’s FORENSICS time again and I’m very excited!  Hopefully all of you have thought about this upcoming year and are just as ready and excited as I am.  The most enjoyable part about summer vacation, for me anyways, is time and a little relaxation.  But even while this is very enjoyable, the thought of a new upcoming forensics year and more members to meet is just enough to get myself ready for Forensics to begin all over again.

Hey Guys!

The summer packets have been mailed out and I am excited about the start of a new forensic season!  Please look over your packets and let me know if you have any questions, and please let me know if you are not going to be able to attend the workshop. If you have ideas for pieces, or speeches, feel free to run them by me. Remember, the more that you can get done during the summer, the more that we can polish the week of workshop!

RHS Forensics Workshop

A reminder to all prospective novices, returning members and interested persons: The 2009-2010 RHS Forensics Workshop begins soon. We will hone our speaking skills, pick and cut pieces, and prepare for the coming season. Can't wait to see the rest of the team!
